Eleven Years of Gratitude
There is wonderful quote from the Winnie-the-Pooh series: “Piglet noticed that even though he had a very small heart, it could hold a rather large amount of gratitude.” This speaks to a fundamental truth about feeling and expressing gratitude – it opens the heart. When our hearts open in gratitude it allows more of our true being to come out and more of the wholeness of life to come in. It truly expands our lives in meaningful ways.
While some degree of gratitude is a natural part of most peoples’ lives it can be easily increased with intention. Whatever we focus on, give our attention to, expands. Focusing on the things we are grateful for will naturally bring more things into our life we will appreciate. Creating and maintaining a gratitude journal, where you write down things you are grateful for, will help cultivate this energy into your consciousness. Expressing your gratitude to others also increases that energy in you and in those you appreciate.
As we here at The Open Mind Center look towards our eleventh anniversary this month we cannot help but feel immense gratitude towards you, our customers. We feel honored that you have made us a part of your journey and are inspired every day by your love, generosity, commitment to your growth, and your courage in facing life’s many challenges. It is for you that we come to work (if you can call it that) every day. We have grown, as a company and as individuals, because of our interactions with you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.
We also want you to know that we are here to assist you when you are purchasing gifts of gratitude for others (or even yourself). We give careful and mindful consideration when purchasing inventory and offering services and classes that they support you and your loved ones. And as always, we thank you for shopping locally and supporting your neighborhood merchants.
