Instructor: Christina is a Certified & Registered Yoga Instructor with Yoga Alliance YTT-200. Christina has always been an athlete; from a young age she felt the inseparable connection between body and mind. In high school, she was on the gymnastic, track and swimming teams. In 2004, after decades in the corporate and academic world as a busy director and language teacher, yoga and its transformational force came to Christina’s life. She decided to let her passion for yoga and its innumerable health benefits become her “raison d’être”. Christina is a dedicated meditator, a 200 YTT mentor and teacher to future yoga instructors. “Yoga, to me, has the ability to bring the physical, mental and spiritual dimensions back into balance. To allow each one of us to flourish into the best version of ourselves. Yoga is an ancient and powerful gift to all of us and it is my privilege and honor to guide my fellow yogis on this beautiful journey.” Christina is also a certified Usui Reiki practitioner and crystal healer.

He currently runs SUMA, providing technology solutions to businesses, individuals and wellness programs. He also works teaching Yoga and has taught at places including the Latin American Association and Peachtree Yoga Center. In addition, he teaches yoga to private clients. He brings a unique experience to all of his Yoga Classes focusing on strength, flexibility, length and body alignment. Born in Mexico, raised in East Cobb, he also has a background in break dancing.
Instructor: Maxine Turner’s sense of wonder, appreciation and love for the science of the human body led her towards the path of yoga. Physical activity was always important in her life, especially after a bout of medical challenges that led to the end of her active duty service with the U.S. Navy. Her love for people and the desire to learn and share the knowledge of yoga, made the transition to teaching almost natural. Amazed by yoga’s ability to heal beyond the physical body she devoted herself to exploring varied aspects of it including asana, Ayurveda, meditation, mantra and tantra. Maxine’s personal practice is one of devotion or Bhakti. Her teaching style integrates functional alignment, core strength, flexibility and balance. She was fortunate to learn primarily from teachers who followed the lineages of: Krishnamacharya Desikachar (Breath, Meditation and Vedic Chanting), Pattabhi Jois (Ashtanga), Indra Devi (Classical Yoga of Patanjali), B. K. S. Iyengar (Iyengar), and Sri Swami Satchidananda (Kundalini). Her classes are mind-fullness based and steeped in philosophy, flow and alignment. She is registered as a 200 Hour Yoga Teacher (RYT) with a specialty designation of 95 Hour Registered Children’s Yoga Teacher (RCYT).
