Instructor: Ilona Moore (RYT500) started questioning her life and she began probing into the deep layers of her soul on a quest to find meaning. It was then that yoga opened its door to her and she began a self-study. From the beginning of her journey, she was immediately intrigued and quickly realized that it would not be a passing interest, but something infinitely more profound. Ilona found that yoga does not reveal itself all at once, but is to be discovered as you live it, one day at a time. Yoga quickly became a way of life and she realized that she could not contain it and was meant to share it. For Ilona, the practice is similar to a bottomless container: the more you share, the more you have. And so, she chooses to share!
Instructor: Jody Harris (E-RTY200, RTY500) began her yoga journey looking to resolve pain from many years of running. After her first yoga class, she immediately connected to the physical, emotional, and spiritual healing that yoga brings. She has completed her therapeutically-oriented RYT500 training and is dedicated to helping others find a yoga practice that meets them where they are right now, celebrating what they can do regardless of their physical, emotional, and spiritual challenges. Jody volunteers at the Shepherd Spinal Center and is also a Reiki Practitioner.
Instructor: Azin Masrouri is a Certified Yoga instructor. Her first experience with yoga had such a great impact that it inspired her to become a lifetime student, and subsequently, an excellent teacher. Azin’s true passion is teaching yoga to others and sharing its fruits. Azin’s goal is to deliver a message of love, harmony, peaceful mind, and self-awareness through her teachings to others.
Instructor: Sonya Kuropatwa, gentle guidance and loving touch extends from her fascination with the body as an instrument of spiritual and creative expression. Sonya came to yoga after more than 20 years a s a classically trained dancer, teacher, and choreographer as a means to further understand the mysteries of the mind-body connection. She has witnessed and guided her students through the wonders of movement, self-awareness, and connection. Her belief in the magic of touch as a means of healing and as a conduit for energy informs her teaching style, which relies strongly on imagery, humor, joy, and hands-on interaction. She has completed and co-facilitated several 200-hour and 500-hour teacher training and certification courses through throughout Atlanta and continues to share her knowledge and wisdom through her personal practice.
Instructor: Karen Sartori’s yoga journey began as she searched for relief from workplace stress and from the demands of being a corporate banker. After her first yoga class, she was immediately captivated by the mind-body connection, the calming effect she felt on her nervous system, and the ability to use breathing to reduce anxiety, influence emotion, and remain present. She quickly realized what a powerful and profound practice she had found, and she is honored to share the benefits of this ancient practice through teaching others. Karen’s classes fully encourage and support each yogi’s personal journey, inward focus, and exploration of the mind-body connection in a nurturing and safe environment that is welcoming to students of all-levels.
