Energy (Qi), The Energy Channels

This class serves as an introduction to the principles of Traditional Chinese Medicine.
“Qi” in Traditional Chinese Medicine, is translated as Breath of Life or Life Energy. In Chinese tradition, there is a supreme energy, the primordial Qi, from which all existence is derived. The Qi is the vital energy of the universe, indispensable in all aspects of life. The Qi is the vital life force that animates and energizes us and flows through the energetic channels of our bodies.
In this workshop you will discover and learn about the oriental vision of energy (Qi).
You will examine an Ideogram of energy, and explore yin and the yang, the principle of all movement. You will also explore the five elements or five movements and the different energies that move in the body.
Additionally, you will also be trained to locate the energy channels and the most used acupoints (access points to the energetic channels) of your body.
Finally, you will learn about your body’s energy channels and corresponding acupoints; and, approach different ways to stimulate the energy channels and acupoints.

Instructor: Efrain Brady is a Certified Tai Chi and Qi Gong Instructor and Director of the School “Tai chi Path to Integration”.
