When was the last time you allowed yourself to just be? With constant stress so prevalent in our daily lives it’s easy to forget we are human beings and not human doings. When we are stressed, we tend to not be present in the moment. We become unable to enjoy and savor our life or connect with the people around us. Studies continuously show the benefits of mindfulness meditation to dramatically reduce stress and stress related disease. When we are mindful, we are present in our lives, no longer feeling distracted or wishing for things to be different. We can be at ease no matter where we are or what is going on. It allows us to cultivate a deeper connection with ourselves and with those around us. Join us for an hour of guided meditation as we develop our mindfulness practice by maintaining a moment-to-moment relaxed awareness of our surrounding environment, bodily sensations, thoughts and emotions. Instructor: Crissy Hester brings a broad background of experience in which creativity and personal development are recurring themes. A published author and artist, she creates by connecting with the energy of her work through meditation. Crissy is professionally trained in various meditation techniques including light body, creative visualization, mindfulness and future visioning. She recently obtained her Law of Attraction life-coaching certification and has logged over 200 coaching hours. Practiced in hypnosis, Crissy is currently working towards certification in neuro-linguistic programming (NLP). She also brings over 10 years of experience from her roles in the corporate world including coaching and managing teams, as well as developing and facilitating training programs.
